The Council has prepared this syllabus keeping pace with other Boards or Council.
The syllabus committee has prepared this syllabus with a view so that the students can cope with higher studies prevalent in modern education. This new syllabus will inculcate rational thinking, increase analytical skills of the students, and infuse scientific approach in minds of young buds. Special importance has been given on acquiring basic knowledge about the subject. Project works have been introduced to develop the thinking power of students. They will be able to write themselves and will be able to handle these subjects in higher studies.

There is a radical change in question pattern also. The questions are divided into three types : Knowledge-based - Multiple Choice Type Questions; Information-based - Short Answer Type Questions; and Analytical Descriptive Questions. The teachers also have to play an important role in proper transaction of this course. They have to read the text books carefully and minutely. They have to make the students understand the subjects of the text so that the students can answer the questions properly.

At first the students will get some difficulties in the new syllabus, but it is hoped that in the long run, learners will gain acquisitive power and adjusting ability. It is also hoped that the teachers will update themselves according to the new syllabus and do their best. So both the teachers and the learners should co-operate with the School Education Department.
